As part of the Ecology Fair, a panel discussion was held on Thursday in the 'Master' Hall on the topic 'Novi Sad – the city of wetlands: water, nature and health in a changing climate'.
At the 57th International Hunting and Fishing Fair on Thursday, certificates of appreciation were presented to those responsible for the implementation of the deer settlement project, on the basis of which from 2019 to this year, the hunting grounds of Serbia were enriched with more than 600 specimens of this game.
The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in a technical mandate, Prof. Dr. Dragan Glamočić, officially opened the exhibitions "Deer of Serbia" and "Mountain Game of Serbia" on Thursday in the "Master" Hall of the Novi Sad Fair. Emphasizing the importance of these exhibitions, Glamočić noted that for the first time the deer population of all parts of Serbia, as well as the mountain game of our country, were presented with them.
At the 57th International Hunting and Fishing Fair and the Ecology Fair, a competition in cooking a hunting cauldron was held. On Thursday, October 1, 28 teams gathered on the Alley of Nations of the Novi Sad Fair. Most of them were hunting associations, but also teams of companies and smaller companies, associations of citizens and childhood friends.
The hunting and fishing fair was complemented by an offer from the nautical segment – from boats and outboard motors to anchors, fenders, vests and other equipment intended for fishing and water lovers.
On the first day of the Hunting and Fishing Fair and the Ecology Fair, the special attention of the youngest visitors was captured by the "World of Dinosaurs" – an interactive exhibition in the open air of the Novi Sad Fair, created in cooperation with the Natural History Centre in Svilajnac. Large dinosaur models, interesting stories about the life of these ancient inhabitants of the Earth and child-friendly content turned the exhibition into a real little journey through the past.
In addition to the Africa stand, in the Auditorium of the Novi Sad Fair, there is a real small safari – a collection of a dozen animal exhibits, otherwise part of the collection of the Svilajnac Natural History Centre. Visitors to the fairs can expect a real African safari adventure during which they have the opportunity to learn something about the animals of distant, exotic countries of another continent. In any case, an unusual experience.
As part of the Ecology Fair, visitors can participate in creative workshops of the Association and social enterprise "Lighthouse in Blue", which combines ecology, recycling and social inclusion through practical work. The program is also adapted to the youngest visitors, and everything they make during the workshops can be taken with them.
At the Hunting and Fishing Fair and the Ecology Fair, the Novi Sad Fair, in cooperation with exhibitors, organizes a Gift Game for all visitors with purchased tickets.
