EWDA 2026 brings together researchers and experts from Europe and around the world dedicated to wildlife health, welfare, biodiversity and nature conservation.

The 16th Conference of the European Wildlife Society - EWDA 2026 will be held from 29 September to 3 October 2026 at the "Master" Congress Centre of the Novi Sad Fair. The host of the conference is the Scientific Veterinary Institute "Novi Sad".

This year's conference is held under the theme "The Wild Future: Challenges of Integrating Health, Welfare and Biodiversity", with a focus on the connection between wildlife health and welfare, biodiversity conservation and environmental health. The aim is to exchange knowledge and experience, but also to strengthen cooperation between researchers and experts from different countries and disciplines.

The program includes scientific sessions, expert lectures, student workshops, an EWDA Network Meeting and a regional workshop and panel discussion on wildlife diseases. The conference provides a space for presenting research and discussing the challenges that connect wild and domestic animals, the environment and human health.

In addition to the professional programme, the participants can expect activities aimed at networking and getting to know Novi Sad, as well as a post-conference excursion to the Special Nature Reserve 'Zasavica'.
