The introductory conference of the project "AIpromTOUR – AI as a Boost for CBC Tourism Destination" was held today at the "Master" Congress Center, which officially began the implementation of one of the most important cross-border projects aimed at the digital transformation of tourism between Serbia and Croatia.

The introductory conference of the project "AIpromTOUR – AI as a Boost for CBC Tourism Destination" was held today at the "Master" Congress Center, which officially began the implementation of one of the most important cross-border projects aimed at the digital transformation of tourism between Serbia and Croatia.

The event brought together representatives of institutions, tourism organizations, project partners and experts in the field of tourism and information technology, with the common goal of improving the sustainable development of tourist destinations through the application of modern digital solutions based on artificial intelligence.
Acting Assistant for Tourism and Regional Economic Cooperation, Milan Jarić, emphasized the importance of the application of innovative technologies in the improvement of the tourism sector, emphasizing that digital transformation is one of the key directions for the development of competitive and sustainable tourism.


"We are witnessing that tourists have different needs at this time, and in accordance with that, we are developing skills and knowledge. This project will help us to move in line with the times, Jaric said, adding that compared to last year, Vojvodina recorded an increase in the number of tourist arrivals by 15 percent and about 30 percent more overnight stays.
The AIpromTOUR project is implemented within the Interreg VI-A IPA cross-border cooperation program Croatia-Serbia, with the aim of improving the competitiveness of tourist destinations, development of innovative tourism products using artificial intelligence.
The focus is on the application of artificial intelligence in the development of sustainable tourism, and the goal of this project is to improve the promotion and marketing of planning and monitoring of tourist flows, with digital and AI solutions, especially in the area of Fruška Gora and Ilok, through the creation of smart tourism solutions, which will contribute to a better visitor experience, more efficient destination management and stronger regional connectivity. said the Acting Director of the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina, Milivoj Kovačević.
The project is implemented by a consortium of partners consisting of the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina, as the lead partner, the Danube Competence Center, the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Vukovar-Srijem County Tourist Board.
