CREATIVE WORKSHOPS IN THE AUDITORIUM COMBINE ECOLOGY AND INCLUSION

Share

As part of the Ecology Fair, visitors can participate in creative workshops of the Association and social enterprise "Lighthouse in Blue", which combines ecology, recycling and social inclusion through practical work. The program is also adapted to the youngest visitors, and everything they make during the workshops can be taken with them.

During the first day of the fair, the participants of the workshop painted greeting cards made of handmade paper with wax paints and felt-tip pens, which members of the Association "Lighthouse in Blue" make by recycling cigarette packs. Today, in the same way, the youngest participants have the opportunity to decorate bookmarks – bookmarks, while Friday, October 2 is reserved for making badges.
– The workshops are educational and in a fun way we present to children the importance of recycling for the preservation of the environment, and at the same time we teach them how a responsible attitude towards nature is connected with responsibility towards people and creating opportunities for the active inclusion of young people with disabilities in the community – said Radojka Gajanović, representative of the Association and social enterprise "Lighthouse in Blue".
The Association "Lighthouse in Blue" was founded by parents of young people with autism and other vulnerable groups with the aim of enabling young people to continue their work and social inclusion after graduating from high school. Today, the Association gathers 16 young members, or about 50 members together with their parents.
– "Lighthouse in Blue" at the Ecology Fair sends two important messages – that waste can get a new purpose and that everyone can get the opportunity to be part of the community with their work – said Radojka Gajanović.
