Networking people and creating new jobs

The crown of the long-term cooperation between the Novi Sad Fair and the Tourist Organisation of the City of Novi Sad is best seen at the 56th International Tourism Fair through the Hosted Buyer programme, which was held yesterday at the 'Master' Congress Centre.

Tour operators from Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Croatia came, who had B2B meetings with exhibitors at this year's event, and there were a total of 52 participants. These meetings are held today and tomorrow.

The program was created at the Novi Sad Fair, and today it is recognizable throughout the region and exhibitors benefit the most. The goal is to raise the Tourism Fair to a higher level and add value to exhibitors. The impressions are positive, and the initiative is for tour operators to connect with tourist organizations from smaller towns in Vojvodina.

The Tourist Organization of the City of Novi Sad, as an important partner in the realization, brought tour operators from abroad who made business contacts and connected with exhibitors at the Fair who deal with receptive tourism.

- It is a long-term and beautiful cooperation that has yielded results this year - there are 11 agencies, an influencer from abroad, and through B2B meetings, people network and encourage the creation of new jobs - emphasized the director of TONS, Branislav Knežević. – Last year we worked a lot and spent time on the field. Without development, there is no promotion, and without promotion, we are invisible. Over the past 10 years, the campaign has been constant, and the campaign has been on a global scale. This year, the number of overnight stays has decreased slightly, between six and seven percent, and this tells us that we need to continue to be committed and work responsibly and prepare for the next year, so TONS has completed a publication dedicated to sports and recreational tourism, which has collected numerous texts and photographs. The reason is the title that Novi Sad received and will carry in 2026 - the "European City of Sport".
