The Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism is one of the largest exhibitors at the 56th International Tourism Fair, and at their Pavilion, at the entrance to the "Master" Hall, several small businessmen and farmers, producers of food, beverages and various handicrafts exhibit. Some of them are labeled "The Best of Vojvodina". In addition to the exhibition part, the stand hosts lectures, educations, meetings, musical performances... "At this year's Tourism Fair, we are traditionally one of the leading exhibitors, and that is logical given our field of work," said the Head of the Department for Tourism in the Secretariat, Željko Dvožak. – The goal of our performance is not only to present for visitors, but also to motivate those who exhibit and perform with us. The main idea is to get together, get to know each other and exchange experiences because this is the key to the development of tourism that breaks down all barriers.There are a dozen exhibitors at the stand, and among them are the Bakery "Sesame", a producer of strudels, and the manufacturer of blackcurrant beverages Agricultural Farm "Dušanka Đaković" in Lazarevo, which have the award "The Best of Vojvodina". I've been in the Lakers for a year now, and I've been in Lazarevo for a few days. "The label means a lot to us, because wherever you go and show such an official document, it is clear that it does not get on the pretty eyes," says Milan Sesum from the Sesame Bakery, which has been exclusively producing and selling strudels since 2005. - In these 20 years, many tons of strudels have been made, and I can tell you that we consume about 2.5 tons of poppy seeds per year. That strudel is, of course, the best-seller, after all, it is also a Vojvodina brand, followed by strudels with cherries, walnuts, carob, coconut and raspberry.Black currants have been unjustly neglected in the Vojvodina area, according to breeder Mladen Djakovic, who has been growing it for the last five years. - Cold-pressed juices are the most sought-after, but we also make liqueurs, sweets, jams without any additives - emphasizes Đaković, adding that the Banat land is excellent for growing this crop. - We have 2.5 hectares so far and we are certainly among the five producers in Vojvodina.
