A decade of successful work of the "Master" Congress Center was marked on Wednesday, December 21st. This was also the third Ambassadors Day organized by the Serbian Convention Bureau, a department of the National Tourism Organization of Serbia.
Opened at the Agricultural Fair in 2006, "Master" Congress Center has become an integral part of activities at Novi Sad Fair, one of the oldest fair companies in south-east Europe. Activities in the new, modern, and multifunctional space suited „fourth-generation fairs”, as well as the wishes and needs of participants in various segments of economy, education, science, culture, etc.
An average of around 200 events, visited by more than 40,000 people, is held annually in the Congress Center. Year after year, these numbers increase. To date, Congress Center has seen numerous statespeople, ministers, ambassadors, monarchs, businessmen, scientists, professors, students and pupils, those curious to witness something new, etc.
Novi Sad Fair and Congress Center both have the support of the Government of Vojvodina and the City of Novi Sad. As a sign of respect, Novi Sad Fair has awarded its certificate of appreciation to various business partners and friends, institutions and individuals who have helped us position ourselves as a recognizable spot on maps of congress activities in the country and worldwide. Certificates were awarded to the Government of the AP of Vojvodina, City of Novi Sad, University of Novi Sad, Society of Physicians of Vojvodina of The Medical Society of Serbia, Clinical Center of Vojvodina, Institute in Sremska Kamenica, namely Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases of Vojvodina, Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina, Oncology Institute of Vojvodina.
Others who received this certificate include the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad, ICT cluster, Tourist Organization of Novi Sad, Tourist Organization of Vojvodina, EXIT Foundation, OPENS initiative, and Project Novi Sad 2021 European Capital of Culture. With the idea of this becoming a tradition of Novi Sad Fair, a special certificate was awarded to Serbian Solid Waste Association SeSWA and Prof. Goran Vujić, executive director of the Association, for organizing the World ISWA (International Solid Waste Association) Congress, the biggest event in „Master” Congress Center, not only in 2016.
The anniversary was celebrated alongside National Tourism Organization of Serbia, Serbian Convention Bureau, which promoted 18 new congress ambassadors, who, in partnership with the domestic congress industry, enabled Serbia to have the opportunity to present itself as an organizer of prestigious international events.
Novi Sad Fair cherishes the friendships and partnerships which have contributed to it attaining a recognizable market position throughout the previous decades. In this spirit, a cocktail was held for Novi Sad Fair’s key buyers and representatives of republic, provincial, and city institutions.
