Ambassador of the Czech republic visits Agricultural Fair

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Serbia Tomaš Kuchta and Czech Republic agro-economic diplomat Vladimir Vana visited the 90th International Agricultural Fair and the collective exhibition of companies from the Czech Republic. The guests were informed about the event, the varied program and the exhibition by the General Manager of the Novi Sad Fair Slobodan Cvetković.

- There are lively diplomatic activities taking place at the Fair, and such contacts mean a lot, because meetings with ambassadors, attaches, and delegations in which we discuss the events we organize help representatives of their countries meet our representatives and arrange deals, Cvetković said. – Globally, the situation in agriculture is tense, but we need to bear in mind that agricultural products are of strategic importance and that they have no alternative. The most important thing is to use such partnership to establish contacts and present all that could be important to both Serbia and the EU.

 - What Serbia has and your agriculture are very important to Europe, Kuhta stated. – It is my intention to use diplomatic contacts to emphasize that Serbia wants to become a member of the EU and that at events like these the EU can present everything it could offer to Serbia, especially though subsidies in agriculture, which would also be an opportunity for Serbia to see the EU as a partner.
