– International Fairs “Lorist” have always traditionally set a high bar when it comes to innovations and their application, to the delight of those who love hunting and fishing, and those who deal with ecology and environmental protection – said the President of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković, during the opening manifestation of the Fairs “Lorist”, which will be held until the 6th of October at the Novi Sad Fair.
- To keep up with global trends, “Lorist” will also focus on ecology, which is becoming an increasingly important matter in all life segments of our province. Visitors will be able to see just how much progress our country has made in the area of waste management and on that matter, a set of workshops will be held during the next fair days. The Provincial Government has always had a reliable partnership with the Novi Sad Fair and will continue to nurture that relationship towards even better productivity.
Member of the City Council in charge of Ecology, Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection Vanja Petković emphasized the important role “Lorist” and the Fair of Ecology have in educating young generations.
– The beginning of Autumn in our city has always been marked with “Lorist” Fairs, where exhibitors can display the newest trends and innovations in fishing and hunting, as well as their products, prestigious trophies and showpieces - said Vanja Petković. - At the same time this fair exhibition inspires education and the improvement of experts, brings forward various social matters, enables experience sharing, and most importantly, spreads awareness of the importance of environmental protection. Also, “Lorist” is very important for the education of our children, with that, the City Council in charge of Ecology, Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection will present a new exhibition concept – The Green Fair Road – which will allow younger visitors to learn the importance of waste management, environmental protection and how they can contribute, through play and educational activities. The intention is to create a healthier society and a healthier surrounding. This is one of the City Council’s main goals, because of which we have already participated in numerous ecology fairs and received awards for our activities.
This year the “Lorist” Fairs count over 120 exhibitors from Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia, all of them will be spread across the “Master” Hall, Hall 1, Auditorium, the open space and the “Manage”. Exhibitors from Montenegro, Bosnia and Hercegovina and Poland will participate in the educational program.
– This is, currently, the biggest exhibition of hunting trophies and showpieces in Europe, containing over 50 mounts and 650 trophies. - said the General Director of the Novi Sad Fair Nikola Lovrić.
The International Fairs “Lorist” began today with the roaring of the deers, more precisely with the imitation of the deer’s roar, presented by Marjan Marjanović and Zoran Stojšić, hunters from the “Kozara” hunting grounds of Bački Monoštor, under the administration of “Vojvodinašume” Public Company.

– The Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection will, during the Fair, be presenting programs which are already undergoing as part of great international projects and with the support of various institutions - added the President of the Provincial Government, mentioning that for the afforestation of Vojvodina, which is one of the projects previously discussed, more than 20 million euros will be provided. - All the officials are determined for this decades-long challenge to be overcome so we can have a greener future and a wooded environment. This will be a top priority in the overall agenda of the Provincial Government and we will dedicate our work towards raising awareness of the importance of environmental protection and the implementation of numerous ecological standards so that this area of our society can go hand in hand with the economic prosperity of the Province of Vojvodina.
