For all its exhibitors and visitors, Novi Sad Fair is preparing 16 fairs, to be held in 12 time slots in 2017. Next year also marks two important anniversaries for our country’s oldest fair company.
For half a century, Novi Sad Fair has been a place for all nature, travel, and sports enthusiasts. In addition, International Fair of Hunting, Fishing and Sports and International Fair of Tourism will be held for the 50th time in 2017.
In order to offer a higher quality of programs to its visitors, and an opportunity for exhibitors to present activities which were not included in any of the event segments, Novi Sad Fair employs creative new ideas to improve existing and introduce new content of its fair events. Excellent long-standing cooperation with state, provincial, and city institutions and structures has been expanded by the realization of new projects which the Fair has developed and offered as an opportunity for these institutions to present and develop their activities during their participation in fair events. The abovementioned cooperation will already be evident at the Fair of Education, and it will be especially prominent at the International Agricultural Fair, which will be held for the 84th time from May 13th to May 19th the following year.
With the aim of cutting costs, increasing operating income and strengthening company capital, by increasing the cost-effectiveness of the use of existing facilities and increasing energy efficiency, Novi Sad Fair is planning several investment projects. The Ministry of Mining and Energy is expected to issue a building permit for two photovoltaic power plants with 500 kW power, to be located on the rooftops of Hall 1 and „Master” Hall. If this project were to be realized, Novi Sad Fair would have the largest photovoltaic power plant in Serbia, which would generate EUR 200,000 annually. Another planned project is the replacement of the existing heat source from PUC „Novosadska toplana” which uses natural gas, by building a gas power plant and connecting instead to the gas network. In this way, heating costs would be reduced by 50% annually.
