In Hall 1 and Hall 6, visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with a wide range of honey products – from classic types of honey, such as acacia, linden, meadow and rapeseed honey, then pollen and propolis, to specialized bee mixtures for immunity and other health conditions. A number of products intended for gift packages were also presented, including honey liqueur, decorative bottles and pendants. The exhibitors showed how traditional beekeeping can be combined with modern and creative packaging.
The Bjelić Beekeeping in Hall 6 stood out, presenting unique hand-engraved products and packaging for honey. Their engraved wooden boxes, decorative packaging and hand-crafted details attracted a lot of attention of visitors, and additional interest was aroused by products that hardly anyone offers on the market – honey without added sugar with cocoa, as well as honey liqueur in decorative plates and gift variants. It is the combination of traditional production and authentic handicraft that singled out this beekeeping as one of the most interesting at the event. In Hall 1, there was a discussion about the process of buying and processing honey, which was presented by the company Sanum per fructus. The company, founded in 2016, is engaged in the purchase, processing and sale of honey, and as much as 70 percent of the purchased quantity is exported around the world, primarily to Europe, but also to the USA, Canada and Australia. The process begins with taking a sample in the field, after which the quality and composition of honey are analyzed in the laboratory, including the presence of antibiotics, moisture, fructose-glucose ratio, HMF and pollen structure. After the analysis, an offer for purchase is formed, followed by the collection and payment of honey, with the necessary documentation and measurement directly at the beekeeper.
