AWARD "LAZA KOSTIĆ" TO VLADAN BAJČETA

After the opening ceremony of the Book Fair and the Art Expo Art Expo, the "Laza Kostić" Award, a recognition of the Novi Sad Fair, consisting of a Diploma and a monetary part, was presented at the Novi Sad Fair today.

It is awarded to a local writer - the author of a work published between two Book Fairs, whose publisher is a participant in the Fair. 

This year, the "Laza Kostić" Award goes to Vladan Bajčeta, for the study "Springs of Vladan Desnica, Epistolary Biography", published by "Academic Book", Novi Sad. This was decided by the jury consisting of: Mladen Vesković (president), prof. Dr. Isidora Bjelaković and Duško Paunković (members).

A few years ago, the award for the best book in the field of children's literature was also awarded. This year's laureate is Uglješa Šajtinac. He was awarded for the book "The Great Fantasy Adventure", published by "Pčelica" from Čačak.

  The Award for Publishing Endeavor of the Year was awarded for the monographic publication "The History of the Serbian People in Yugoslavia" (The First Book "From Unification to the April War 1918-1941"), authored by Stanislav Sretenović, Dušan Fundić, Dragan Bakić, Vojislav Pavlović, Aleksandar Milanović, Slađana Jaćimović and Igor Borozan, published by the Serbian Literary Cooperative in Belgrade.

A special award was given to the Belgrade publishing house "Parthenon", for the work of Mihailo Lalić "My Memory Is – A Manuscript Unpublished During His Lifetime". 

  The awards were presented to the winners by the General Manager of the Novi Sad Fair, Slobodan Cvetković.

  The "Sava Šumanović" Award, which is awarded at the Art Expo Art Exhibition for achievements in fine arts, will be presented to this year's winner, Nemanja Nikolić, a multimedia artist from Belgrade, on Monday, March 23, at the "Master" Congress Center, at 12:00.

Today's open events run until Monday, March 23. From March 19 to 21, the 20th International Education Fair "Putokazi" and the 2nd NS GAMES & TECH WEEK will be held. On Saturday, March 21, visitors can expect the Vojvodina Taste Exchange. Admission to the Fairs is free of charge. Working hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., except on the last day when it will be until 4 p.m.

Visitors to the March events have the opportunity to participate in the Gift Game prepared by the Novi Sad Fair in cooperation with the exhibitors. So far, the Agora Publishing House, NOJZAC Edition (Futura Publications), Graphic Publishing House PI-PRESS, NARATOR Publishing House, PČELICA Publishing, AKADEMSKA KNJIGA, PRIDEMAGE GAMES (Mipl) and Školska knjiga have joined the action.

To participate, by March 23, it is enough to put a completed registration coupon in a clearly marked box. The drawing of coupons with the names of the winners of the book package is organized every day at 7 p.m. On the last day of the Fair, on Monday, March 23, the draw will be at 2 p.m.
