Book Fair is Ready

The last, preparatory meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Book Fair was held today at the Novi Sad Fair, before the event that is in the Calendar of Events from 17 to 23 March.

At the same time, the 30th International Art Expo will be organized. The twentieth International Education Fair "Putokazi" and the 2. Game & Tech Week (By AXE) will take place from March 19 to 21. 

The Organising Committee of the Book Fair was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the City Council for Culture, the Novi Sad City Library, the Student Cultural Centre, the Radio Television of Vojvodina, educational institutions and institutions, the Novi Sad Fair, and the Fair also has the support of the Provincial Government and the Secretariat.

It was noted that the concept of organizing the Novi Sad Book Fair is very different from those held in other cities in Serbia, and that this brings excellent results.

Thus, this year, the largest number of exhibitors so far will appear in Hall 1 of the Novi Sad Fair, including 25 new ones. In addition to the exceptional Art Expo Art Exhibition, the Education Fair "Putokazi" and the Game & Tech WEEK (By AXE) Gaming Fair, visitors can expect "Days of Laza Kostić", favorite books, special editions, exclusive guests, fair discounts, academic and amateur artists, works of applied art, new and exclusive exhibitions, gaming industry novelties, festivals, competitions...

The ogat program is almost completely conceived, and it contains the celebration of anniversaries - 200 years of Martica Srpska, 200 years since the birth of Svetozar Miletić and Jovan Đorđević, 220 years since the birth of Jovan Sterija Popović, 300 years since the birth of Zaharije Orfelin.., numerous promotions of authors and their works, Quiz of knowledge in general culture, literature, language, history. There will also be presentations of publishing activities in the languages of national minorities, artistic performances, presentations of galleries, forums (e.g. Artificial Intelligence in Teaching – Good and Bad Sides), workshops and special programs for children, while numerous segments are dedicated to education and training. There will also be surprises such as special screenings of short films, stories about sports and literature, translation as a socio-cultural practice, presentations of audio books...

It was also announced today that, by tomorrow at the latest, the shortlist for the "Laza Kostić" Award and other recognitions of the Novi Sad Fair will be known.

The topics of this meeting were various program activities in which pupils and students should be involved, as well as ideas for improvements to all March events in the coming years.

The program of activities will be completed soon, and then available to interested parties on the website of the Novi Sad Fair www.sajam.net. 

What will certainly make all visitors happy is the working hours of the events, which remain until 8 p.m., except for the last day, when the working hours will be until 4 p.m.

As in previous years, visitors will also be able to enjoy a gift game. 

Admission to the Book Fair, as well as other events in March, will not be charged.
