Fragments of the beauty and uniqueness of natural resources "captured" in the moment – a leaf, a flower, a green detail, a bird..., can be seen at the photo exhibition in the 'Master' Hall, and they are part of the 'Natural Resources of Vojvodina' programme, which was launched last year by Ivana Bakmaz, journalist of the 'Dnevnik' newspaper, ecologist and master professor of biology by profession, and Milan Rakić, sociologist and journalist of Radio Novi Sad.
As they emphasized to the visitors of the fair at the panel discussion held on Thursday on the stage of the "Master" Hall, their intention is to point out, with pictures and words, what is hidden in special nature reserves and protected areas in Vojvodina.- We wanted to point out the importance of natural habitats through texts and photographs - said Ivana Bakmaz. - Unfortunately, the natural balance and biodiversity are threatened by climate change, i.e. droughts, fires, supercell storms, invasive species. We had the opportunity to see in the field that the increasing pressure of man has changed the way nature is protected today.Photojournalists Slobodan Šušnjević and Katarina Šibul emphasized that the tour of these areas allowed them to see some landscapes for the first time, but also to see how gentle and sensitive nature is and see that it should be treated with more care. Together with colleagues Vanja Fifa and Filip Bakić, they recorded countless beautiful photos in the field that represent the most endangered animal species and protected habitats. Milan Rakić pointed out that they will continue to promote the program "Natural Resources of Vojvodina", because it is important to talk about this topic as much as possible, to present the beauties of the province to the general public.
