EXHIBITIONS "DEER OF SERBIA" AND "MOUNTAIN GAME OF SERBIA" HAVE BEEN OPENED: SERBIA AT THE TOP OF THE WORLD HUNTING

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in a technical mandate, Prof. Dr. Dragan Glamočić, officially opened the exhibitions "Deer of Serbia" and "Mountain Game of Serbia" on Thursday in the "Master" Hall of the Novi Sad Fair. Emphasizing the importance of these exhibitions, Glamočić noted that for the first time the deer population of all parts of Serbia, as well as the mountain game of our country, were presented with them.

- These exhibitions are more than a display of wealth and tradition. They oblige us to preserve this great wealth and leave it to future generations. Serbia has something to be proud of - said Glamočić.
As one of the most significant contributions to the hunting of Serbia in previous years, he pointed out the program of settling the common deer, with which the population of this game has increased to more than 600 individuals.
- We also pay special attention to chamois, whose population is not at the desired level. More stable populations exist only on Tara, Djerdap and in the Zlot canyon - added Glamočić.
Speaking about the Ministry's efforts to improve forestry and hunting, he said that last year, 700 million dinars were invested in sustainable development and improvement of forestry, through two competitions, among other things, in the construction and rehabilitation of forest roads. According to him, another 145 million dinars were invested in the sustainable development of hunting, primarily in increasing the number and improvement of the game population, in the construction and equipping of hunting facilities, as well as in monitoring, education and digitalization.
The exhibition "Deer of Serbia" was organized in cooperation with the Forest Administration of the Republic of Serbia and the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, on about 1,000 square meters of exhibition space in the "Master" Hall, and visitors have the opportunity to see deer from Eastern Serbia and the Negotin Krajina, from Homolje, as well as from the Danube, Posavina and Eastern Vojvodina hunting grounds, the Carpathian region and the Deliblato sands.
