IRRIGATION SYSTEM OFFER: DRIP IRRIGATION – PROFITABLE YIELD

Less attractive than a combine or tractor, irrigation systems occupy a noticeable place at the stands of exhibitors of agricultural machinery. And, as the exhibitors claim, the interest in irrigation depends less and less on the fair rains.

The lack of rainfall for most of the year makes irrigation a basic condition for more or less profitable production. State subsidies of 70 percent of the AP Vojvodina, i.e. 50 percent of the Republic, make the procurement of bay systems an accessible investment.
Pipelife has been in Serbia and the Balkans since 2020 and is engaged in consulting and design services for single-season and multi-season irrigation systems.
– Aware that without irrigation systems, especially well-designed ones, there is no yield, fruit and vegetable producers first embarked on investments – explains the irrigation category manager at Wienerberger in Kanjiža, Dušan Janković. – Three or four years ago, shyly, on smaller areas, farmers started drip irrigation, and today the interest is much greater.
Irrigation systems also attract the attention of visitors at the stand of the company Agrotech in Trešnjevac.
– Irritec underground irrigation systems are exposed, which function by directly watering the root system with pipes under the ground – says Sales Director at Agrotech, Dejan Zorić. – They are intended for farmers, vegetable and fruit growers with larger areas, and the value of the investment is 4,200 euros per hectare. In addition, we exhibited the Idrofoglia tifons with accompanying equipment, as well as the American T-L linear irrigation system. The basic T-L system costs about 100,000 euros.
According to sales expert Milan Gajinov, KITE has so far sold more than 700 Irritec typhons and generators, and sales are increasing from year to year.
– Climate change is the biggest reason, but so are state subsidies. The price of the kit, which includes a tiphon and a motor-diesel pump, ranges up to 40,000 euros. The purchase is financed with an interest-free loan for up to three years, and if we include the return on money of 50 or 70 percent of the investment, which is approved by the Republic or the Province, the returns increased by irrigation pay off this investment in a short period of time – concludes Gajinov.
