More than 330 trophies and exhibits are part of two large exhibitions of the International Hunting and Fishing Fair and the Ecology Fair, and these are "Deer of Serbia" and "Mountain Game of Serbia", located in the "Master" Hall. It can be said that, for all lovers of hunting tourism, this part of the Fair is heaven on earth!
– It is important for people to understand the role of deer as a hunting species, part of the hunting fauna and general biodiversity of the Republic of Serbia – points out the Executive Director for Hunting, Catering and Fishing of PE "Vojvodinašume", Dr. Branislav Stankov. – Another aspect of deer management are trophies, some of which come from earlier periods, and some from this year's roar from 15-20 days ago. I can tell you that there are deer here that are worth up to 20,000 euros, and the entire exhibition is worth more than 550,000 euros. That is why it is important to point out that this is a species that contributes to the economic stability of the users of the hunting grounds, but also to the development of hunting tourism and the hunting economy of a country.All of the above will further contribute to the fact that, as Dr. Branislav Stankov announces, the common deer will become a strategic species of our country.– The deer fed the Serbian people during the Turkish rule, so it is an animal that helped the survival of our entire nation in times of hunger and hopelessness – reminds the Executive Director for Hunting, Catering and Fishing of PE "Vojvodinašume".Also, in the center of the "Master" Hall there is, allegorically speaking, a mountain with dermopreparations of whole individuals of wolves, chamois, as well as large and small grouse.
– We have wolves, about 28 skulls, from the hunting grounds Zlot, NP "Đerdap", Negotin Krajina, Dubrava, as well as 64 trophies of chamois from central and eastern Serbia – explains the head of the Tourist Agency of the Tourist Board "Vojvodinašume-Turist" Željko Kačavenda. – The exhibition also contains about sixty trophies of roe deer from several hunting seasons from the area of Vojvodina, as well as wolf and chamois skins with the associated trophies.
