Great attention of visitors to the Hunting and Fishing Fair in the "Master" Hall attracts a unique stand where the skins of five shot wolves are exhibited, as well as one wolf dermopreparation, with eight skulls, and it is interesting that these are animals that were shot by ladies on the territory of Žagubica, which is managed by the Hunting Association "Jovan Šerbanović". The hostesses of this stand are members of the Ladies Hunting Club, whose headquarters are in Bečej.
These fearless women joined the large family of hunters for various reasons. Some carry this tradition from their families, from their fathers and ancestors, some went to the hunting grounds with their husbands, some were engaged in archery, and some out of curiosity. While hunting, they feel a rush of adrenaline and are very proud of each catch, but also of their dedication. This was confirmed to us by a guest from Hungary, Dr. Eva Šipoš, president of the Hunting Women's Club "Dijana" from Budapest. She shot the "king of the forest" – the wolf on March 8, 2013 and, as she says, at first she did not feel anything, but when she realized what she had done, there was no end to her excitement and happiness. As we learn from the president of the Women's Hunting Club, Sanja Momčilović – Bognič, this association has about fifty members and is the only women's club that is a member of the World Hunting Organization CIC. They cooperate with women's clubs from Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Bulgaria, and they also expect to connect with the established club in North Macedonia. In addition to socializing in hunting, they are dedicated to the preservation of nature, hunting tradition and culture, and at ceremonies and gatherings they dress in costumes specially sewn for them according to the model of the old town ceremonial costume from 200 years ago, in the recognizable color of rotten cherry.
