World Bee Day was celebrated yesterday, May 20, and although we do not have the opportunity to meet these perfect little creatures at the 93rd International Agricultural Fair, in Hall 2 we can get acquainted with their "face and work" in conversation with exhibitors of bee products. For Jelena Radaković, who founded the Agricultural Farm "Alchemy of Honey" in 2013, being a beekeeper is the realization of a decades-long dream.
In the shadow of large tractors, combines, telehandlers and other machines at the stands of most exhibitors of agricultural machinery, there were smaller tractors intended for fruit growers, winegrowers and vegetable growers. The most common buyers of such tractors are from central Serbia, especially producers of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries...
A lecture dedicated to ways to increase the export of processed fruits and vegetables to the European Union was held yesterday in the organization of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. A special focus was on the new tools of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce for exporters of frozen and dried fruits and vegetables, as well as producers from the hot processing sector.
A lecture was held yesterday at the Master Congress Center, where important topics for farmers were discussed, such as incentives provided by the state, as well as those coming from the IPARD program. There was talk about digitalization and the application of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in agriculture. It also looked at what measures and programs are implemented and how to lease and use state-owned agricultural land.
The Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, Academician Bela Balint visited the International Agricultural Fair, among others, the stands of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops "NS Seme", where he talked with representatives of this institution of national importance for the Republic of Serbia.
The award, which is awarded for contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Central and Southeastern Europe, "Creators for Centuries," was presented yesterday to the General Manager of the Novi Sad Fair, Slobodan Cvetković. The International Economic Forum "Perspectives", a regional business platform dealing with the economy, promotion of entrepreneurship and awarding the best businessmen, has been awarding this award since 2014, and so far more than 300 awards have been presented to individuals, companies, institutions, non-governmental organizations from 11 countries.
The seventh Day of Fruit and Wine Growers, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Serbia, was officially marked yesterday at the Pavilion of the AP Vojvodina by the Prime Minister of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković, Deputy Prime Minister of the Provincial Government and Secretary for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Vladimir Galić, Attaché for Agriculture of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Serbia Michel van Erkel, as well as the Director of the Novi Sad Fair Slobodan Cvetković and the Secretary of the Association of Agriculture of the Chamber of Commerce Mladen Petković of Vojvodina.
At the stand of the Association of Small Independent Brewers of Serbia, there was a festival atmosphere all yesterday – beer was brewed in front of the visitors, and lunch was prepared for many guests, who were constantly staying around the stand. The high attendance showed that the interest in the local independent brewing scene is not waning.
At the 93rd International Agricultural Fair, visitors have the opportunity to buy a number of interesting products and tools for household, hunting, fishing, working in the field, as well as clothing and equipment for the youngest and adults.
