At the Pavilion of the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism, as part of the Days of Women's Entrepreneurship and Old Crafts, women entrepreneurs from different parts of Vojvodina presented their products and work. Their stands were visited by the President of the Provincial Government, Maja Gojkovic, the Provincial Secretary for Economy and Tourism, Nenad Ivanisevic, and the Director General of the Novi Sad Fair, Slobodan Cvetkovic. The Prime Minister of the Provincial Government, Maja Gojković, pointed out that in recent years, the Province has paid special attention to the development of women's entrepreneurship and the preservation of old crafts as part of cultural heritage.– We dedicated the day to those who represent our women's entrepreneurship and old crafts. The Provincial Government pays special attention to the development and support of women's entrepreneurship, as well as the preservation of cultural heritage, which in the modern age is reflected through the preservation of old crafts – said Maja Gojković and emphasized that every year more and more women participate in the Agricultural Fair and exhibit handicrafts and products. As she explained, women make up more than half of the population of Serbia, and there are currently about 39,000 registered entrepreneurial shops, companies and tourist facilities run by women. The Prime Minister of the Provincial Government also emphasized the importance of the first digital platform "Empowered", which brings together women entrepreneurs and provides them with the opportunity for education, promotion and networking.The founder of the "Empowered" platform, Dr. Indira Popadić, pointed out that the initiative was created in cooperation with the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism, and that within the platform, each woman has her own microsite and shop, where she can offer products, regardless of where she is.
