Inspectors will be able to perform inspections without prior notice and order, in order to make the supervision more efficient – explained Vujovic. The experts of the laboratory for milk testing also spoke about the importance of milk quality, emphasizing that quality monitoring is an important investment for farmers and the dairy industry.– We have active contracts and cooperation with almost 90 dairies, the first ten are the largest, but we should not neglect the contribution of small dairies that are responsible and important for the preservation of traditional production – said the head of the laboratory for milk testing, Dr. Slavoljub Stanojević. Head of the Department of Veterinary Inspection at the Veterinary Directorate, Ljiljana Ivanjac, emphasized that about 2,300 inspections in the field of food safety were carried out last year.
