The traditional carriage race, one of the symbols of the International Agricultural Fair, was held yesterday, when 13 two-horse carriages in three categories paraded through Manježa. In the show part of the two-horse young horses, the first place was won by Zoran Volarev from Bašaid, while in the competition of mature horses, the first prize went to Ivan Rakić from Kikinda. The award for the most beautiful pair of horses was given to Natalija Josimović from Novi Bečej.
The first place in the precision driving through the cones was won by Darvin Selimovic from Sremska Mitrovica. On Manjež, the carriages were also chased away by children-drivers, and the most noticeable were Aleksa Topalov from Bačka Palanka and Nika Beleslin from Kikinda. At this year's show, an increasing number of young horsemen is noticeable, bringing back the tradition of carriages in a big way. As Vojvodina is recognizable for this former means of transport, the participants were mostly from Bačka, Banat and Srem.
