The Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, Academician Bela Balint visited the International Agricultural Fair, among others, the stands of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops "NS Seme", where he talked with representatives of this institution of national importance for the Republic of Serbia.
The award, which is awarded for contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Central and Southeastern Europe, "Creators for Centuries," was presented yesterday to the General Manager of the Novi Sad Fair, Slobodan Cvetković. The International Economic Forum "Perspectives", a regional business platform dealing with the economy, promotion of entrepreneurship and awarding the best businessmen, has been awarding this award since 2014, and so far more than 300 awards have been presented to individuals, companies, institutions, non-governmental organizations from 11 countries.
The seventh Day of Fruit and Wine Growers, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Serbia, was officially marked yesterday at the Pavilion of the AP Vojvodina by the Prime Minister of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković, Deputy Prime Minister of the Provincial Government and Secretary for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Vladimir Galić, Attaché for Agriculture of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Serbia Michel van Erkel, as well as the Director of the Novi Sad Fair Slobodan Cvetković and the Secretary of the Association of Agriculture of the Chamber of Commerce Mladen Petković of Vojvodina.
At the stand of the Association of Small Independent Brewers of Serbia, there was a festival atmosphere all yesterday – beer was brewed in front of the visitors, and lunch was prepared for many guests, who were constantly staying around the stand. The high attendance showed that the interest in the local independent brewing scene is not waning.
At the 93rd International Agricultural Fair, visitors have the opportunity to buy a number of interesting products and tools for household, hunting, fishing, working in the field, as well as clothing and equipment for the youngest and adults.
Yesterday, Manjež was the main gathering place for the youngest visitors of the International Agricultural Fair, since the Equestrian Center "Novi Sad Fair" organized an equestrian workshop for children. The little ones cuddled, cleaned, fed, and even rode the horse, and then immortalized it with crayons and took the drawing as a souvenir from the gathering.
Feathered animals can be seen again, and by God, heard, at the 93rd International Agricultural Fair at Hall 24, on the way to Manjež, where visitors are greeted by about 20 breeds of poultry. Two exhibitors, Nikola Elez from Rastina and Goran Komnenić from Sombor, have been receiving compliments for days that they have the most visited stand. And how could it not be when there are all sorts of chickens, ducklings, turkeys everywhere.
European Union standards in agriculture and access to the common European market were among the central topics of the panel at the European Union stand in Serbia, which discussed the importance of harmonizing production with European rules and standards. The focus of the talks was food safety and quality, environmental protection, animal welfare, but also the way in which uniform rules enable equal conditions for producers on the European market.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection presented itself at the International Agricultural Fair through a conference dedicated to the circular economy.
