If the rain swayed some of the visitors to the 93rd International Agricultural Fair, it encouraged buyers to think more seriously about the renewal of the machinery, according to the director of sales of agricultural machinery and equipment at KITE, Boris Budurin.
While the halls are teeming with mechanization, new technologies and large companies, the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad shows that it is equally important for small producers and entrepreneurs who are trying to find their place in the market. Among them is Dejan Smiljanić, president of the Association of Small Independent Breweries of Serbia and owner of the brewery "Black Turtle", who believes that such events provide an opportunity that small producers can rarely get.
Visitors to the 93rd International Agricultural Fair have the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich offer of fresh and processed organic products within the Exhibition of Organic Products, which is organized in Hall 1a. At the exhibitors' stands, you can buy fruit, honey, flour and wine, as well as medicinal and aromatic herbs, traditional spreads, natural cosmetics, meat and eggs.
The 1,830-kilogram Jablan bull and the 204-kilogram Matador ram are considered the two largest capital specimens of their kind at the 93rd International Agricultural Fair, and their size attracts a large number of visitors.
In the competition of 140 specialized fattening breeds of cattle within the National Livestock Exhibition, the most represented are Angus, Limousine and Charola breeds, and among the dairy breeds Holstein-Friesian and combined Simmental breed. According to the estimates of experts from the Evaluation Commission, which this year has an international character, the exhibited part is in the strongest competition in terms of quality in the last five years.
This year's Agricultural Fair once again showed how modern technology is changing the way we work in agriculture. Hall 1 is full of innovative solutions, smart systems and modern machinery that makes farmers' work easier and increases productivity.
A rich program adorns municipalities from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija at this year's Agricultural Fair. Presentations of honey and honey products, winter food, bakery products, fruit brandies, wine and medicinal herbs, with performances by cultural and artistic societies, singing groups and poets, make up the whole of what this province has to offer. There was a discussion about whether and how smart and modern technological achievements, such as GPS systems, drones, various software solutions, are used in Serbian agriculture.
The Director General of the Novi Sad Fair, Slobodan Cvetković, received the delegation of the Chinese province of Guangdong, led by the Deputy Director General of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in that province, Li Ming.
