Without the use of innovative technologies in agriculture, there is no progress – it was indicated yesterday the seminar on "Innovative Technologies in Agriculture" organized by the Italian Foreign Trade Agency of the Italian Embassy Department for the Promotion of Economic Cooperation.
The International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, the most important and the largest trade fair event in South-East Europe, in the presence of Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic, local and foreign officials and numerous guests, was opened yesterday by the mayor of Novi Sad, Milos Vucevic, who stated that agriculture is a serious opportunity of Serbia that has to be utilized to the full.
Following the agricultural producers and recognizing their needs, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management will present at this year's International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad at a stand in the Hall "Master" with a significant participation at the Food Exhibition, then by supporting the organization of the National Livestock Exhibition, as well as by the organization of ongoing lectures, workshops, round tables.
For the first time Tunisia exhibited at the Agricultural Fair last year, and at the 86th International Agricultural Fair it participates as the Friend Country.
The Partner Country of the 86th International Agricultural Fair is Italy. It is the seventh consecutive time that Italy is represented by a collective exhibition at the most important agricultural event in the region, and, what is more, as a Partner Country for the second time.
Novi Sad Fair gathers in May all significant participants of agribusiness in this part of Europe, but also representatives of agricultural branches related to the agriculture.
The interest of exhibitors coming to the Agricultural Fair from abroad has been increasing in recent years. Companies from 32 countries will be directly present at the 86th International Agricultural Fair, and products and services will be presented from a total of 61 countries.
The Ministry organizes and finances the Exhibition of Organic Products, products with geographical indications and "Serbian Quality" and craft beer.
One of the most attractive segments is the Exhibition of Agricultural Machinery. This year it will be even larger compared to the previous ones, and it extends to around 35,000 m², which makes up more than half of the exhibit space of the May Fair in 2019.

For the first time this year at the Agricultural Fair, The Exhibition of Genetic Potentials will be organized within the National Livestock Exhibition.
We have a two months ahead of us until the 86th International Agricultural Fair. Considering the received applications, the interest of the previous exhibitors, the number of new ones, and the area that has been leased so far, it is expected that this year's Agricultural Fair will exceed the previous one, by volume and by contents.
The collective performance of Italian companies, from May 11th to 17th, will be organized in Hall 1. The performer will be the Italian Trade Agency ICE.
International Agricultural Fair will be held from Saturday 11th to Friday 17th May, 2019.
