Veliša might be the biggest bull, but the ten-year-old Lara, a Simmental cow, is this year’s champion. She has delighted the visitors to the 89th International Agricultural Fair, who have learnt that she produces up to 50 l of milk daily. Her previous owner, Milan Milanković from Mratišić, says that it is unusual for this breed to produce so much milk. However, that is not Lara’s only quality.

One of the attractions at the 89th International Agricultural Fair is Veliša the bull. He will undoubtedly be the heaviest head of cattle, because he weighs 1,700 kg. Veliša is a Simmental bull from the Salaš Crnobarski, which belongs to the BRAĆA JEREMIĆ farm in the municipality of Bogatić.

How to strengthen the position of agriculture in Serbia in the process of accession to the European Union was the topic of the conference entitled “Green Architecture and Common Agricultural Policy”, held at the 89th International Agricultural Fair and organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water-management of the Republic of Serbia.

Naturally, the central topic of the International Agricultural Fair is food, and in the times of the post-covid crisis, the crisis in Ukraine and the climate change, it is also a global topic of utmost importance, according to the participants at the FOOD SUMMIT SYSTEM conference, held at the Master Congress Centre, and organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water-management of Serbia.
